MARITA SOLBERG  (22.03.1976-)

Marita Solberg got her breaking through in 2001 as the first and so far the only Norwegian winner of the  internationl song contest of Queen Sonja of Norway. Member of the jury, Ingrid Bjoner, recommended Marita as a singer with a wonderfull voice capable of development.

After the victory in 2001 Marita has made performances with all the established orchestras of Norway. Among these: the Norwegian broadcast orchestra,"Filharmonien" of Bergen,the symphonic orchestra of Trondheim, the symphonic orchestra of Stavanger and the philharmonic orchestra of Oslo. Overall in Norway she is heard frequently in recitals, concerts and as opera-singer.

Internationally she has several times made performances with orchestras and operas in countries as Denmark, Russia, Spain, Holland, U.S.A and Israel. Among others at the opera Liceu of Barcelona (2004), Teatro Real of Madrid (2004) and the theatre of Marinskij Russia (2005). Internationally she is best known because of her interpretations of Solveig in "Peer Gynt".
